Police Captain's meeting

We hope everyone had a safe, healthy, and enjoyable summer.  The East District Captain's Meetings will resume this month. 

The next East District Captain's meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 27, 2011, 7:00 p.m. at M.S. 4 (Bright and Varick St.).

 

Captain Connors, East District Commander, will discuss crime and quality of life issues in the East District and respond to all questions, issues and concerns. 

The Captain's Meeting is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and it is in the best interest of east district residents to attend.  Please pass this information along to all community members, neighbors, family and friends.  We encourage and hope to see you at the Captain's Meeting.

Newport 1/2 marathon

Please be advised a Newport Liberty Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, September 25, 2011.  The race begins at 8:30 a.m.  Please expect traffic delays in the Newport and Paulus Hook areas from 8:30 a.m. to marathon completion.

 Reminder:  Sunday at 9:30 AM   - 12:30 PM. Walk the Walkway with the Hudson River Waterfront Conservancy.  Meet at the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal.

September Meeting Postponed

Dear HPNA members, neighbors, and friends of the community:

We are postponing our general September meeting, which was to be held on Wednesday, September 7th at 7:30 pm at the Cordero School.  

At our next meeting on October 5th at 7:30 at the Cordero School, representatives of the Realty Appraisal Group will discuss the city-wide property reassessment. Since this is an important topic that will impact the future of the community, everyone should attend.

Additionally, mark your calendars for the HPNA Annual Halloween Parade  on October 29th in the park.  And lastly, don't forget to support the Farmer's Market tomorrow and every Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the Gazebo.
